First thing that comes to mind when talking about Indian food is bold yellow curry and curry spice. If we were to think about these two as true and only representatives of Indian food, we will be wrong on both counts. First of all curry, contrary to popular belief is not a spice but a mix of spices and owes its bright yellow color to turmeric powder, which is one of the many ingredients involved in making curry. Secondly, Indian food is not just curry. The variety of Indian food is astounding.  Over hundreds of years many cultures melted into what is now modern India. The natives Indians, foreign Invaders and business prospectors over centuries shaped Indian cuisine into top notch work of art.

If French cuisine takes pride in its cream filed pastries cakes and other baked and cooked delicacies, Indian food will boast of nice crunchy and leavened breads cooked in clay ovens,  delicate vegetable and non vegetarian delicacies accentuated with light spices which not only provide taste and flavor but are healthy for human body in lot of medicinal ways. The diverse of peoples and their diverse culture and foods have brought richness and depth to the Indian experience.
